KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday unveiled the schedule of the President’s GOLD and Silver Cup One-day tournaments 2015 which will start later this month.
As many as 12 teams, six departmental and six regional, will show their worth in the GOLD Cup, which will be held here from January 19 to February 1.
Group I carries Karachi Dolphins, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Peshawar Panthers, Rawalpindi Rams, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL).
Group II has Islamabad Leopards, Karachi Zebras, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Lahore Lions, Port Qasim Authority and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The GOLD league matches will be conducted at the National Stadium, NBP Sports Complex, UBL Ground No1, South End Club, Arabian Sea Country Club and Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad.
Two teams from each group will make it to the semi-finals, which will be held on January 29 and 30. The final will be held on February 1. The National Stadium will host the knockout stage matches.
As many as 14 teams, seven regional and seven departmental, have been clubbed in three groups for the Silver Cup One-day league, which will begin from January 24 and end on February 8.
One team from each group will qualify for the triangular stage, which will be held from February 4-6. Two teams will make it to the February 8 final to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
