Aamir Khan, top Bollywood actor has recently issued a legal notice to some of the websites in Pakistan for associating a false interview with him about the movie PK.
The fabricated interview contained an in depth religious conversation in lieu of his latest box office hit PK, as reported by The Economic Times.
The actor’s legal counsel named Anand Desai sent the notice on behalf of Aamir Khan and said he was falsely associated with the interview. The screenshot of the interview as taken from Hindustan Times is as follows:
Mr Anand said: “Mr Aamir Khan was shocked to find an interview attributed to him on several Pakistani websites in relation to his latest film PK. He has never given such an interview. It is clearly a fabrication by someone trying to impersonate him, done with the intent of drawing visitors to their website, and is defamatory to our client.”
Anand further said: “The impersonation is a very serious infringement of our client’s rights, and we will take legal recourse. Mr Khan will be filing a criminal complaint with the Cybercrime Cell, Mumbai Police after he returns to Mumbai.”
The original source of the interview, which was published by couple of websites, still remains a mystery. The title which was mostly used for the interview was ‘5 questions Aamir Khan answered about PK’.
After the news of the issuance of the legal notice spread out, most websites removed the fabricated interview from their sites, like it never existed.
